I say peh-cahn, but I lived in Southern Georgia when I was younger so part of me still wants to say pee-can.

I think most where I live say pee-can (it is funny spelled out ), but I say peh-cahn.

Funny, I had to test the way I said it. My favorite ice cream is Butter Pecan, and I say butter pee-cahn. But if I'm just talking about the nut itself, I think I say peh-cahn! LOL! I voted for Pee-cahn though.

geez, i hate hearing pee-can! (that would be a toilet?)

we say peh-cahn here.....my dh is from Colfax, Louisiana, home of the Pecan Festival (Peh-cahn Festival lol). I don't personally know anyone here in Louisiana that says pee-can, but i've heard it plenty on tv/movies where they are trying to be Southern (which is actually just making fun of us).
