Hello, My name is Lorraine from NJ. I am 35 years old and have 4 children Alexis (angel baby) would have been 10 this June, Rayna 8, JB 5, Madison 10 1/2 months. I have Antiphospholipid Syndrome. I was diagnosed with this autoimmune disorder 6 months after I lost Alexis. She was a full term stillborn. I had her on her due date. The pregnancy was normal up until the night before she was born. Before her I actually had a 11 weeks miscarriage. I had gone to a high risk doctor after I lost Alexis, that was recommended to me and he did a blood test. He helped me have my 3 babies I have now. I had to be on 1 baby aspirin a day and Fragmin shot everyday which I gave myself. Fragmin is a low- molecular heperin (sp) shot that is safe for the baby because it doesn't pass through the placenta. I also had a ultrasound every month. This disorder only affects me through my pregnancies. The only effect I have not being pregnant is headaches. But I was told that I don't have to be on any medication unless I am pregnant.
