Hi ladies, first time on this board.
Sorry to bother you but I am at loss and wanted to ask you for insight on Celiac Disease.
My son, Max, is 7 1/2 months old, breastfed and started solids about 2 months ago (at 5 1/2 mo).
2 weeks ago, I fed him "mixed cereal" (rice, barley, wheat and oats). He has had all of those before (well, wheat from a baguette) and never had a reaction. We´re following the "3-day rule" with new foods. Well, about 2 hrs after the cereal he started projectile vomiting, about 15-17 times in a 3 hour period. This was followed by a very pale (almost whitish) bowel movement with an awful smell (not normal poo) and later on diarrhea.
The dr thought it was a gastro.
Last week, exactly 7 days after, SAME thing. This time I had fed him oats, which he hadn´t had in a while because he didn´t like them.
We´re going for an u/s tomorrow to discard bowel obstruction but I´m thinking it has something to do with the cereal. He wakes up great and then that.
Yesterday I gave him barley and he was very fussy. So much so that lunch time came and he screamed bloody murder when I tried sitting him on his high chair.
So what do you think?. Am I being paranoid?
We don´t have any celiac disease in neither one of our families but I read it can still happen and also that the gluten intolerance can be manifested months later.
He gains weight normally (actually, too much

he´s 22 lbs).
Sorry this is too long, I´m probably rambling now but I need some insight please!!!
Thanks so much in advance
