Intro / Bio: I'm Celena, was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 2.5yrs ago and also have some other medical issues. Back in 2002 was dx with ulcerative colitis, migraines when I was 13, lived in chronic pain since I was a teenager. Not totally convinced I have fibro. They threw me into that umbrella diagnosis since I do have neurological issues, muscular and skelatal chronic pain as well which "fits" in that umbrella however I think they're wrong since none of their meds have ever worked that work for fm patients. I've tried hundreds of medications, dosages & combinations with no help and ended up with serintonin sydrom feeling like I was going to die (cymbalta, pritiq, sevella), medication induced depression ( from lyrica & neurontin) or me being one of those less than 1% with the rare side effects. Apprently those are the right treatments for me... so you'd think they'd reevaluate their diagnosis??
Other treatments I've done... chiropractic care, exercise to build up energy endurence and mood lifter as well as a counsellor & vitamins/supplements, dietary changes
Anyways, I take the minimal meds since I'm ttcal with my dh. Not to mention I'm not fond of medications. We've had the perinatologist evaluate the meds and she deemed them safe for ttcal and pregnancy when that happens.
