So apparently the nasty wolf has decided to show his face again. My lupus and kidney disease is back in full force and they had to admit me yesterday. Despite numerous med changes, my blood pressures where running 170/100 - 180/120 and I went from spilling 350mg of protein/day to 5g! Almost overnight! Fortunately it's not pre-eclampsia though, cause that would have meant immediate delivery and I'm not far enough along to be viable.
So I've started on Imuran, Prednisone, Lasix, a new blood pressure med (can't remember the name). And I will probably be here through the week to see how I respond to the treatment. The one plus about this is that I've been complaining to my DH a lot lately about wanting to pop an Advil for my shoulder pain. Now, as much as I hate prednisone, I know my shoulder won't be bothering me! (gotta look at the bright side somehow!)
