How many here have suffered a loss or multiple pregnancy losses?

I'm about to go thru a 4th loss with DH, altho all of my fertility etc etc recurrent loss testing came out that my fertility is that of a 20 something year old... just don't understand why I'm losing babies?

Have you been given a reason for your loss(es) perhaps medically related to autoimmune?

That's the only thing I can think of

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this too right now. My first pregnancy ended at 9 weeks. Then my second was a normal birth. My third was a 7 week loss and my fourth was a normal birth. My last and most recent was a 22 week loss. I never had any fertility testing with my first miscarriages so I never found out why. I know that people with autoimmune diseases have a higher risk of miscarriages. But I think that with autoimmune diseases its tough for doctors to be able to give you straight answers as everyone's body is different.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I've had 7 miscarriages and 1 live birth.

My rheum said that is is understandable that women with excess inflammation may find recurrent miscarriages in their lives. He believes it impacts the way the body reacts to the pregnancy and it may not implant very well.

That is just his opinion as a Rheum and not a pregnancy specialist.

That makes entire sense, my body is always inflammed and maybe if I took my nsaids more perhaps it could help. No clue, just wish there was a miracle

I don't normally post here, but have they tested you for anti-phospholipid? It is a blood clotting disorder that is caused by auto-immune diseases, some doctors will only check for it if you have lupus, but any auto-immune disorder can cause it. I have auto-immune thyroid disease, so I will ask to be tested for it if I get pregnant again after the loss of Colm my last pregnancy.

Just lurking here.....I also have auto-immune thyroid disease and just recently got diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome after 2 m/c in a row. I never knew the 2 were related. Thanks for the info.
