Well this seems like the perfect spot to vent and have my "woe is me" moments. I have both psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis. If there is anything to compare it to it would be Rheumatoid Arthritis. It attacks the dang immune system and is a pain in my neck (literally). Anywho, I was diagnosed with it about a year and half ago after I basically couldnt walk up my stairs anymore. I am on a shot of chemo once a week. The new thing now in the house is, do I go off of the chemo to try to get preggo and suffer through 9 months of this crap of not feeling good. Or is this disease my answer that 2 babies is all I was good for. Anyway if you have any advice or want to ask me question please feel free.

Hey lady. I dont' have PA but I do have sle and I work for a rheumatologist. You will definately have to come off of the methotrexate for 3 months before you can start trying. However, you can take prednisone for your flares during pregnancy. Dont' feel like you ahve to suffer. Also, with some woman, pregnancy actually helps with auto immune disorders. Good luck...
Hi just a lurker, but I have ankylosing spondy with no damage so basically I'm diagnosed with what you have, Psoriatic Arthritis. I heard that in alot of cases the disease goes into remission during pregnancy! So don't let the arthritis dictate whether you have more children or not! you may just be in a for a pleasant pregnancy with no pain! Good luck with your dicision, but I just wanted to tell you to not let your disease make that choice for you! It makes enough choices for us as it is!!
I have RA and have been holding off on starting methotrexate so that we can try to conceive. Some days it hurts very badly, but I know that I would regret not atleast giving it a chance. However, this would be our first child, so not quite the same situation.
