I'm going to try to keep this short and sweet, dont want to bore you girls My concerns going into the doctor were my skin. I am very fair skinned and have plenty of freckles and moles. I was taking a drug called Imuran a couple years ago and it has been known to cause skin cancer in some cases...not everyone..but one warning was to stay OUT of the sun! I have never been a sun godess...so I wasnt too too concerned, but enough. About 2 monthes ago I noticed a small "bruise" on my toe, underneath my foot, kinda in between my pinky toe. I found it VERY strange because I couldnt possibly understand HOW I got a bruise on the bottom of my foot/toe....so I have been keeping an eye on it. Slowly I have noticed it changing...and now it looks like a freckle. Well....I wanted my doctor to check it out..because of possible Melanoma. I showed it to him and he was concerned...not so much that it was blue first and then brown...but because it was never there and then just showed up. So...he didnt have any real answers...but he sent me to see a specialist. I have to call to make that appointment....My next concern...Joe's family is from Tennessee and they have ALL had staph infection...it went through like the whole state something fierce I guess. Well....they came up shortly after Thanksgiving and I know for a fact that Joe's one neice(11 yrs) still had a boil. We stayed AWAY from her knowing that my immune system couldnt support an infection such as staph...it can be DEADLY in people with weaken immune systems...which,I have because I have been on steroids for a year!! We made every excuse possible to NOT have her around. Well....I was still around the rest of them...who knows WHICH one,if any I caught this from. So...on my stomach, near my belly button I have what looks like an over size pimple(yuck,I know)...it's been there about 3 weeks. What struck me with concern was when Joe went to his Mother's house a few days ago. She brough it up to him about HER having this spot on her stomach...same spot as me! Same look as mine...she showed Joe. This is why I wanted my doctor to check it out...since it wasnt JUST ME...He DID do a biospy on it...but he was nearly 100% positive that it is indeed staph infection. He has put me on anti-biotics that I will need to take for two weeks. Plus an anti-biotic skin cream to use 3 times a day for 2 weeks. Then of course, see me back in 2 weeks unless things become worse. So I should know 100% early next week what my results were...but my Doctor already seems to believe that is what it is. Time will tell. I am still very nervous about my foot...but I am trying to convince myself not to waste my time with anxiety over something I cannot really change...I am seeing my doctors over it and going from there. So...thats what is going on.

WOW!! What a day!
That really sucks about the Staph infection, I hope the antibiotics get rid of it soon!
As far as the skin cancer, I'm glad your doctor is on the ball and taking it seriously. You know some doctors would shrug it off.
OT but when I was preg with my first son, I got what looked like a big pimple on my belly beside one of the stretch marks.
I left it alone, and eventually it popped and went away, but it was sooooo gross. Not a Staph infection though.
Hope you get some answers soon about your weird bruise!
