Why do they have to be so impersonal and rude? I just called to my doctor's office to see if the doctor could switch my antidepressant because the Lexapro is not doing the job and to see if he could call me in something for my allergies. The lady on the other hand shortly told me that he is on vacation and so is his nurse. I asked her if his partner on call could maybe call me something in since I have seen him too. She rudely told me that I have to wait till he gets back. Well what if this was an emergency and I was dying? Would I have to wait till he got back in the office to see him. Grrr!

And it is not just this front desk at this office. It is most of the doctor's offices front desk. They are rude and don't have any manners. They think they are top dogs and can do whatever they want. Now if I was someone with a lot of money they would do what I wanted at the drop of the hat.

I'm so sorry. I've actually changed from doctors I have really liked if their front office staff was rude. I have to like the entire office staff, nurses, front desk and all in order to go to an office. I mean, I see my doctors like once a month, so I want to be able to call in and know that they are going to treat me like crap.

I'm so sorry your antidepressant isn't working, sweetie. How long have you been on it? I've been on almost every antidepressant out there, and I get to a point where my bodu gets used to them and they quit working, so I have to switch to a different one. I'm on Cymbalta right now, which I like because it not only helps with depression, it helps with pain, too.

Hope you gets some answers and some meds!!

I have been on the Lexapro since November. I thought it was working but I am still having bad symptoms off and on. I know it is not going to cure all but I thought it would help a little more. Still no phone call from the doctor's office. Just wait till he gets back next week. I might just have to find another doctor but I hate doing that. It is just a pain to move all the records, etc. And I think what makes me so mad is that they know who I am. If the receptionist had taken the time to first time and let me talk you would had known I am a regular. Grrr!

GRRRR right along with you. I'm sorry for the frustration. And no, the Lexapro won't cure all, but it should be helping more than it is I would think. Maybe you need to change the antidepressant. But it makes me mad at your doc office that they didn't call you bad. I'll come beat them up for you. LOL

It is a pain to find a new doctor, especially if you like them. I hope you get some answers, hon!
