Has anyone with MS gotten this yet? My sister is going to get a Botox shot in her legs, to try and help with her spasticity. I was just wondering if any of you ladies had it done? She's hoping it helps, as she's having a lot of probelms with her legs right now.

She was surprised her insurance agreed to it. I'll keep you posted.

interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just sat and thought (from having worked years ago at an insurance company) that if the insurance company agreed to it, then it's based on SOMETHING ... so of course I went searching online and came up with the following link ... check it out .... pretty neat

MS and botox treatments

you're welcome ... if that link is reliable and a lot of what I read there is really promising then that's great ... I'm also showing a co worker it tomorrow cause her mom has severe MS.

I get Botox for my fibro, so I can't imagine why it wouldn't work for MS. I get a script for the Botox, get it filled at the pharmacy and then get the injections. My script costs about $50, and I go once every 3-4 months.

Good luck y'all! I hope y'all can find something out about it!

She got 4 shots in her legs yesterday. And she told me she hasn't felt this good in over a year. She walked my nieces and nephew to the bus stop, which she hasn't done at all in the past year. She slept well because her legs weren't bothering her. They told her the shots last up to 3 months. So right now she is very pleased with her results.

That's awesome!! I get them every 3 months for my tension headaches that are due to fibro. I get them in my forehead and in the back of my neck. The good thing about the forehead is it helps the wrinkles, too! LOLOLOLOLOLOL I asked him to give me some under my eyes, but he wouldn't go for it.
