Is the third day the worse for pain when you have a hurt knee? Even the painkillers are not working and I am afraid to take the recommended dosage because I will fall asleep. I did that the first night I had them and I felt like I was drugged out. Literally felt sick.
I'm not a doctor, but I know that when I've had an injury like that the pain is usually worse after a couple of days. It's almost like your body is still in shock for the first couple of days and then it says "oh yeah, I'm supposed to be hurting" and it decides to hurt. So I understand what you are saying.
I'm so sorry it's bothering you so much. If you don't have anything going on, I'd say take the pain killers and just sleep the day away if you can!!
When I broke my kneecap it didn't hurt for the first few days. I think it was because everything else hurt so baadly. It's hard when your knee hurts, because you use it so much. Even going to the bathroom was a huge ordeal. I hope you get some relief soon.
