Thats one side effect I have noticed from taking the Copaxone...I have three welts right now. One on my left arm,one of my right arm and one on my left thigh. Blah! The one that hurts the worst is on my right arm and it hurts and itches. I called shared solutions and they gave me advice of massaging the injection site in the shower the day AFTER I give myself a shot there...but I havent done it. I probaly should...but

It could be worse,so I'm NOT complaining...only a bit annoyed with welts!

I called and asked my sister if she got those. She said she doesn't. She does the massage.

I got a couple of tips from another MS community forum...

Use ice 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after injecting....or do the same with heat. Also...to try hydrocortisone cream for the itching.

I tried the ice this morning before injecting...I really dont know if it's going to help or not because I am getting welts like days later, not right away.

I will update if I notice it helping...

I get those from my Enbrel shots, too. Not that it makes you feel any better....
