I was curious what you use to throw out your needles? I was told as long as it's a hard wall. I have a laundry detergent bottle I have been using. That way I can screw on the lid tight and it fits alot of needles. A coffee can would be good too,I think. Any other ideas?

The laundry detergent bottle is a great idea. I'll have to start doing that. I've just been using a sharps container I get from the pharmacy, but those are kinda expensive each time.

LOL...I didnt even think about getting through the pharmacy. I actually called our local health dept and they gave me the idea of laundry detergant container,or coffee can. Defintetly a good savings. Are the sharps container large, like to fit alot of needles in? The detergant container is deep,so it's already got over a monthes worth and I havent even put a dent in it-like a 1/4 of the way.

I never thought I'd be talking about this,like..."oh,so what do you do with your needles"?? LOL

ROFL! Makes us sound like heroin users or something!!!!

Yeah, I have to get my Enbrel through the mail order pharmacy, and they asked me if I wanted a sharps container with it, but it was like $20 or something, and they send me a new one every time. It's a bnig one like you see in the docs office. Stupid! A fairly cheap bottle of detergent is only like $5.00! My methotrexate only costs me $7.00 for a three month supply, so the sharps container was more than my medicine! The Enbrel is $50 a month.

Lord, that's another post I could go off on, the price of medicine.......

OMG! Meds...no kidding! If I wasnt able to get assistance with the Copaxone,I would have done without. Thats a huge problem we have here in the US,everyone should be able to get their meds, regardless of income.
