My Dr office called on Monday with my blood test results. My Cholestrol is fine...yeah!!! My T4 is elevated. I have to go back in this morning for blood re-test. My Dr wants to make sure it wasnt a fluke and see if it's still elevated. I guess we will go from there...

They probably want to retest to see if either your T3 or your TSH are also elevated. If so, than that more than likely means you have hyperthyroidism, or possibly the autoimmune form of it Graves disease (like Lorna and I do). I have 2/3 of my thyroid removed because of it, and I haven't had any problems since. (We are just a walking jumble of autoimmune disease, huh?)

Good luck with the retest. At least they found *something* that could be causing it. And if it is thyroid, they can easily fix it with meds.

So,I thought when the Dr office called they said my T4 was elevated. That was probaly my error....because when I went in today I saw on the blood order it was my T3 they wanted to re-test.

...now I will probaly have to wait the weekend again before I learn any info. I'm glad to hear though,it can be an easy fix. I am just the type of person...figure it out and let me know ASAP. I will deal with it...kwim? Not that I *hope* for this to be a problem. I hope all is figured out and I can start feeling better.
