Have you ever used alternative medicines to help your AI condition?

I used to take PRO biotics for my UC...took them for awhile, but never really noticed anything other then my wallet getting slimmer. I also drank aloe vera juice(small amount) in hopes it would help the UC. Nope...just made it worse. Some people swear by both of these for UC...I dont recommend,JMO.

I still take pro biotics. I do notice a difference. My intestine isn't always regular and it has a hard time maintaining its own natural bacteria. Even to the point that I can't eat any kind of fungus. No yogurt, no cheese, mushrooms, etc. I got really sick with my lowered immune system and got a whole body yeast infection. I did a natural cleansing treatment and diet for two months and after ttc for nearly a year with no success I got pregnant right at the end of the treatment. Could have been a fluke, but I think it helped regulate my body enough for pregnancy.

That is great! I am so glad that it helped you. I have heard alot of people say how it has helped them get off other meds and they only take the pro biotics. Maybe my expectations were too high.

I've never taken anything like that to help me. I did try acupuncture to help with my MS symptoms. Unfortunately, I was just too sensitive on my left side to put up with it. But acupuncture can do wonders for aches and pains that comes with MS. It's great for muscles and skin sensitivity, not to mention relaxing.

Acupuncture is not supposed to be painful AT ALL. It was just unfortunately part of what I was going through.

I haven't tried anything but my husband takes stuff for his heart along with his meds. He takes fish oil and some other vitamin to help with his heart. He has heart problems along with diabetes.
