Does anyone else in your family have the same AI as you? No one else that I am aware of
Have you ever been worried about passing it down to your children? Yes,I got my MS connection magazine the other day and it said that children of one parent that has MS are like 2% more likely then the general public to get MS. IF the child has TWO parents with MS then they are 5% more likely to get it then the general public. UC is also another then I worry about the kids getting...I dont know the statistics on that....I need to check CCFA and find out.......

I worry about passing it on because my MIL also has Graves. Does anyone else feel a little depresssed when you go over your family history when you're at the doctor's? Whenever I list all my family history I feel like I'm listing everything but heart attacks.
Does anyone else in your family have the same AI as you? Well I heard that I had a biological Aunt that may have had it (I'm adopted) but it was not confirmed. She's passed away so I never could confirm that. I talked to her briefly but it was only a greeting.
Have you ever been worried about passing it down to your children? A little, but the chances are fairly low. I did hear that the chances are a little higher if I have a girl, but I think that is mainly because of the general statistics of MS that more women get MS than men, and it has less to do with if the mom parent had it or either parent has it. All I can do is hope that it doesn't get passed on. If it does, then it'll be hard on my child, but it is what it is.
