Just wondering if your home is well-suited for you considering your physical needs? For example, we have a two-story house with all the bedrooms upstairs. This is proving to be rather difficult for me when I'm having a bad flare-up. It's a long flight of stairs and I find myself really avoiding going up there for things. But with 4 kids, there are several times I have to go up there each day. I've told my husband I'd like to move to a 1-story home but I don't think it's going to be possible for a few years at least. When the baby comes, I will probably keep all the diapers and supplies downstairs which will make it a little easier.

Are there any things you do to make your home more accessible?

Joe and I had this conversation yesterday...well,we have had it a few times...not just yesterday. I love love love my home. However it is becoming diffacult for me to climb the stairs everyday...several times a day. Not just to go upstairs. But downstairs to do laundry. The stairs are killing me. Emily is afraid to go upstairs by herself...so thats several times a day I am going up again, when I normally wouldnt. I wish we had a lower level bathroom...thats a big problem. Especially when I am flaring..getting up those stairs fast enough to make it to the toliet.

When my kids were smaller(well,Ryan still is kinda)...I would keep all diapers, wipes down stairs...so I have them on hand all the time. That way I dont have to do the stairs to just change a diaper. Cant really think of anything else right off hand. Good question

We only have a one story house so I don't have to deal with climbing stairs, but we have this super long hallway so it takes forever to get somewhere. I really love my house and there isn't much else we can do to make it more accessible but I just wish things were situated differently!

One story house here so I don't have to deal with stairs.
