I have talked about the birds and bees at various levels over time. It isn't too hard yet, because he watches a lot of animal shows so he is familiar with (as we call it) mating. We still need to talk about more, but he is only 10 right now. Although he IS hitting early puberty. Our most recent discussion was about gay/homosexual people/lifestyles.

On seperate occasions. I think my mom is a little scared. There have been some issues with me earlier back in 8th grade with boys, and stories.
Our most recent one was really scary. For both of us I think. She asked me if I need to go on the pill. Which was ridiculous because I wasn't having sex. I've never had sex. It was crazy and we were both crying and blahhhh. Yeah, that was my birds and the bees story haha.

I think thats an ongoing talk from about 2 or 3 yrs to they move out LOL.
I am very open & if a subject or question arrises we go with it.My dd has had bfs & everytime we have the talk as she calls it.Some of them are easier than others for both of us but I am hoping to lay the right path so when she gets ready she can come to me about it.Never forget my son's 1st wake up with a morning pain...that one has been the hardest I left it up to daddy.
