Does you preteen/teen like to read? Are they required to read a set amount for school? Do they ever read just because.

She loves reading. She needs to read 20 minutes a day and also meet an AR goal each marking period. But she reads just because as well.

David doesn't really enjoy reading. He does have to for school, but doesn't read unless he has to

Greyson is required to read a book a month at school, each month from a different genre. He likes to read, and if he had his choice he would read all fantasy type books. He loves Percy Jackson and the like.

My 13 year old daughter loves the idea of reading. But she just can't seem to get into it. Her older sister reads a lot as do I. I think she wants to enjoy it because she sees that we enjoy it. Hopefully one day.

He loves to read but like he used to now that he is older, yes they have a certain amount of hours they are supposed to do a month, He does read just for fun a lot of the time, especally right before bed.

My kids have to read for school but they also read a lot for their own enjoyment, expecially my oldest.

She's a reader big time. Got it from my mom. In elementary and JHS they were required to read x amount of books per year. In HS, not so much.

Olivia reads quite a bit. It kinda of goes in spurts though, because sometimes she is just oo busy with school work, sports, and other activities to really get into reading. They read several novels each year in class, and she's probably read another dozen on her own this school year. She likes all the teen romantic/fantasy types with vampire/wolves/spirits. She also reads Jodi Picoult and that genre. When school is out of session she reads 1-2 books a week.
