Help me

Anyone else on here have a teen daughter they are ready to strangle? 15 yrs old to be exact!!

The mouth this past month has been unbelievable!! She has gotten her cellphone and Ipod touch taken away and when she mouths off I tell her you are not working towards getting them back she said I dont care. All she does is sleep. She wants to go out during the weekends with her friends but bc she has been disrespectful I tell her no. Then, she just ends up hiding in her room and sleeping all weekend. It's not all the time. Maybe one day every week or two she can talk and get along with the family like a human being. I would like to give her freedom to go skating and to the movies with friends but I feel like she needs to ear it.

I do have a 15 year old daughter. Don't really want to strangle her though. (at least not today)

Maybe she needs to volunteer somewhere for a while on the weekends. It would get her out and doing something productive so she's not sleeping all the time and it might help her change her adittude.

you know what..I never thought about that. Thats a great idea!! I mean she is in counseling. She has had a rough life. Her birth mother abandoned her with me and her father when she was 2 yrs old and I have raised her. Her father and I split up three years ago but due to some problems going on with her father I have recently gotten custody of her so I can understand why she is acting out a lil bit. Thanks so much for that idea tho!!

Hi, I have a 14 year old son and I've recently had him start volunteering a couple of hours on Saturday mornings at the local Humane Society. He spends the time walking the dogs. At first I had to "force" him to the volunteer, but now he looks forward to the time.

I just wanted to give you an idea of where she might like to volunteer.
