David is camping with his boy scout troop this weekend

Nice little break for u lol...Brittney slept over a friends house on Friday and we had appts this weekend and they went to see their dad for a little bit yesterday..nothing big...this weekend we are looking for something fun to do...kinda sick of our normal movies or skating stuff.

the camping trip David went on was a camparee' which basically means many troops from through out the area camped together and competed in different activities as patrols.

They have these types of camparee's throughout the year in different locations and one part of it includes a campfire were troops can put on skits and scoutmasters can secretly nominate (usually voted on by rest of troop months prior) a scout for the honor of being a part of the order of the arrow which is like a fraternity of boy scouts. the process of being nominated is called tap out...David was tapped out ! So in June he will go away for a weekend to complete his requirements

Congratulations to David! That's awesome!
My dad and brother were both in the OA. My brother LOVED it. He served as lodge chief and had a lot of really great leadership expiriences. He's in his 40's now and still friends with some of the guys from his chapter.
I hope David has a similar expirience.
