We are giving Jared my car soon. He will have his license on the 4th of Oct. {I am feeling worried already} Jared is responsible. I just don`t trust some of the other drivers out there!

How will you feel when your teen gets their first car? Or if they have already....How did you feel?

Well DD had taken drivers ed that helped a little
but the worst was when she had to work at the mall during Christmas and drive home in a snow storm at midnite eeeek I was a wreck and my husband was out plowing and on the cell with me and I was on the cell with her
and man when I saw those headlights coming down the road we were so relieved !!!!
Well that was a few years ago and im in no hurry to do it again with Trav

My daughter is 16 already and does not have her license. She's not really in a big hurry either. Since insurance is so much, we told her that she needs to have a job before she can get her license and she has not put ANY effort into finding a job, so as of right now, she's still walking! I'm not terribly unhappy about that

Just curious -- did you buy your child a brand new car or a used one? What about safety of car -- do you keep this into consideration?
