After a very long pregnancy 41 wks. I finally went in for induction. On the U/S on 9-29 she was head down and everything was set for induction. We get there at 6am, the nurse checks me and I was 4 cm, and she was still head down, pitocin was started. A few hours later the Dr. came in to check I was 5cm, but she felt a butt, so a quick u/s was ordered and she was now breech. I had so much amniotic fluid she often turned but this time it meant C-section, so the get everything ready for the surgery including finding my tubal papers. I was sad that I was getting the tubal but I know it's for the best for my health and the fact 12 losses is all I ever want to experience those 12 were too many. So they get me to the OR where George my hero inserted the spinal, he put 24 hours of morphine in it, and even held the bucket while I threw up and put wash clothes on my head(he will always be my hero that day). They finally let DH in, and I aks when they are going to start and the Dr says "Hun, we almost have your princess out" at 11:11 am Norah Isabella was born, we knew she was going to be small due to the beta blockers I had to take but we didn't know how small until she came into this world she was a very tiny 5 pounds 6 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long, I carried her the longest and she was my smallest baby.
She is the little girl I never thought I would have, of all the babies I have lost the ones I knew the sex were girls. Her middle name is the middle name of our first baby we lost together(6 of my losses were with my x) Caitlyn Isabella who had Trisomy 18, and there was a fear that Norah also had it.

Now to the second best news, I have a heart condition caused by pregnancy that I developed after the birth of my oldest son, called Peri-partum cardiomyopathy. I had a relapse in July where my left ventrical was only funtioning at 35%(reason for heart meds) so a Echo was ordered the day after Norah's birth it turned out my heart was at 63% which is very normal. They decreased my beta blocker which meant I didn't have to take a Ace inhibitor. Since my meds had been changed so much I am allowed to BF my Princess. I wasn't able to BF the boys so this is an amazing experience.

OH sweetie she is darling! I am so glad everything has turned out so well for you & that you are getting to BF. I know it can be tough at first, so I am really hoping you are loving it! You deserve that after all you have gone through to get here! Well actually you also deserved an easy natural delivery as well - but especially since you didn't get that - you deserve BFing to go easy - so I really hope it does! She really is beautiful & I am so glad you have the chance to have a daughter to raise. I too think this is my last go around - I am at my 9th pg & am 35 & this pg has been tough - I am not sure i am cut out to try again after this. There is a point where it just feels like you have made your peace with this path. I hope you are really enjoying every moment with this new precious baby & wish you all the best!

Beck, BFing is easy with her no latch issues and no nipple confusion when she gets a bottle, she's been nursing now for an hour.LOL

I know what you mean about making peace with the cards life has given you. No matter how many children a woman has that has had losses she is always missing a piece of herself from each loss. I just pray Norah will never have to endure that. I don't see how women can have children in their mid 40's, I'm 34 and it was HELL.
