Post all your off-topic chattiness here!

I am working from home today. THANK GOD I'm not in the office, my stress level is about half what it was yesterday! It is cold and yucky here today, pouring down rain and they said we might even have some snow mixed in with it today--dude, it's APRIL, stop snowing already!!! Very glad I didn't have to commute through this to get to work!

Well, my SIL was supposed to come for a visit today and she cancelled yet again! She does this with every visit, she didn't even come to his family bday party!
Yesterday I had a hard time getting on here so I gave up! Very slow!
Wanted to go see the bunny today, but damp and cool, going to go tomorrow.
Finally made my goal for MOD. Went over the $500 mark! WOOHOO! Our team I think is close to 4,000! Just wait till I get all of my coin jars back from my stores! Plus they are matching! So far in my store's jar there is $110 in bills and the can is almost full of coins! But my customers know me, so I don't expect the other stores to be that way!

That's awesome about your MOD jars!! We raised a lot last year but mostly from DH's coworkers.

We were planning to TTC in the summer but last night said what the heck, let's just go for it. So Coral might be a big sister as soon as December 19th I am excited and scared to death!!

Aww good luck Heidi!

It's supposed to rain like crazy tonight into tomorrow and all I want to do is crawl into bed and sleep for a good 12 hours or so..

OMG Heidi!!! I am so excited for you! You'd better keep us posted...

Kathie, that is so awesome, you're going to raise a ton of money this year! I am going to have to send out a reminder e-mail on Friday, that's 30 days until our walk. I have a bunch of friends/coworkers who are planning to donate but haven't yet, so hopefully that'll get them off their butts. I'm hoping to at least match last year's total, which was almost $1500, but so far I've only raised $461.

It is snowing here now. What the heck?!?! Luckily it's not sticking much, just a teeny bit of slushy stuff on the grass. Totally ridiculous weather!

Now SIL says she might come by tomorrow. We'll see, won't hold my breath on that!

Hey y'all! Warning, this is an epic post with a little venting.

I'm in the land of never-ending crying and fussing. It started Sat at my in-laws. I got so very very sick. I thought it was just food poisoning from dinner. (we actually went out without the babies! We've done that maybe 4 times since Ava was born!). Anyways, I was so weak Sunday I couldn't move my head. So we stayed an extra night and came home Monday.

I got dressed for work, heard a funny noise come from Ava. Now she's sick. So I grab her out of her high chair and run her into the bathroom and stick her in the tub. Then I hear Noah screaming and in comes my husband with my 6.5 month old throwing up everywhere. Just then my dad comes in. So he stays with Ava in the bath while James cleans up Noah. I call into work. Was up all night long with them taking turns getting sick every 20 minutes or so. *sigh*

They are finally starting to get better today but are both still very fussy and crying alot. :-( My poor babies.

Then when I went back to work I find out those b*st*rds wrote me up! A FORMAL WRITE UP. For calling in to "late". I should have called earlier? Um. next time I'll schedule my kids vomit around you. 2+ years with this hospital, I never say no when they need me, I so rarely call in. And because they had a bad day and someone else called in the day before they choose to make ME the example and give me a formal diciplinary write up in my permanent file. I've *never* had one of those. I've never even had informal chats for anything. I was soooo upset! What a bunch of hooey.

I was turning in my 2 week notice anyways, so then it just looked like I was being dumb about it. But I explained that the decision to quit had been made late last week and was in no way a correlation with the diciplinary write up. But I work night shift and I got into nursing school so that with 2 babies under 2, just won't work. So I was quitting to do nursing school. They were so happy and said all this stuff about how I was going to be such an amazing nurse and blah blah. would I please consider per diem or part time, they don't want to loose me. Um. What?? You just wrote me up for something stupid and now you want me to stay because I'm an "exemplary employee"? How very frustrating.

So that has been my week. But hey, 5 night shifts left and then i'm done! WOO! Then I have a whole month off to just be with my babies and I am so so so excited about that. And if I get my 1st choice schedule for classes this summer 2 are online and 1 is a Saturday (all day) class. So that would be all summer of being a stay at home mommy!

OMG Lisa, what a week you've had! Holy cow, I can't believe they wrote you up for that, that's completely not cool. And obviously they didn't really mean it, since they were begging you to stay. Sounds like a good job to be leaving! When do you start nursing school? I hope your little ones feel better soon!

I am home today watching Jim and his best friend from the NICU, since their daycare is closed today and tomorrow for teacher in-service. They've been down for 2 hours, AWESOME.

Took the day off of work, not feeling great this morning but feeling better now. The sun is out, which is so nice because it FREAKIN' SNOWED AGAIN THIS MORNING WHAT THE HECK!?!?

Planning to do some pruning this weekend and maybe and dig out the plants that died over the winter. We have some ugly shrubs that didn't survive the cold, which is fine because I always hated them anyway.

My mom contributed $200 to my March...which is extra awesome, because my dad is walking with us! I would have thought they'd have just given to his walk, so, I'm excited that they're giving a good amount this year. I think we're going to the zoo with them on Sunday, which should be fun.

SNOW??!!! WHAT??! It was nice here yesterday, just very windy. Luke hates the wind, he freaks out each time he is in it. That is awesome your mom contributed $200. Have fun at the zoo!!

Back from the zoo, we had a lovely time with my parents. Jim enjoyed the animals and did a lot of walking, so when we came home and I put him down for a nap, he didn't complain a bit. Before I put him down, I went to check his diaper and Jim was talking about his cup of milk, saying "Milk" and then he said "Dilk" and then laughed and laughed. So I said, "Bilk! Silk!" and he started just shrieking with laughter, it was so funny! He definitely had a case of the tired sillies.

I know, Kathie, I couldn't believe it was snowing in April! I mean, we normally get maybe one or two snowfalls a year here, this year has been just ridiculous. But today, it is finally GORGEOUS out here, sunny and warm enough not to have to wear a jacket all the time. Woo Hoo! DH is out cleaning up the pile of branches I made from pruning the roses and cleaning up some of the dead stuff in the yard, and then he's going to mow the lawn.

Just ordered Jim a new coat that should last him for the next year or so--it's got a zip-out fleece lining, so it'll be a good summer rain jacket and also a good winter coat. And it was originally $95, I got it for $30. Love the end of season sales!

Did I mention I hate my job? My boss knows I'm swamped with helping with rolling out the new computers here, and yet he and the other managers assign me yet another new case. Not only that, instead of assigning it to me and an investigator like they normally would, it just got assigned to me by myself. Even though one of the investigators (who is awesome) requested to work on the case with me, they still just gave it to me alone. JERKS.

How is everyone doing?

One of our NICU friends whose son goes to the same daycare as Jim bumped into one of our NICU nurses at the daycare center today! Turns out her kid goes to the coop daycare that's downstairs in the same building from our daycare. Such a small world! She was one of our favorite nurses so I am hoping to bump into her myself and she can see how all her hard work has payed off for Jim!

Beth, That's neat! Are they the same age?
I wish our store wasn't open till 9:30 tonight and tomorrow. It is only Easter, I don't feel like we need extended hours.
I still have to go and get more stuff for easter dinner. I will go when i am done working, when no one is there and it is quiet! Who else is cooking?

We have no plans for easter, how sad is that? I am horrible about the whole holiday thing...but Jim still doesn't seem all that interested in holiday stuff, so we're giving it one more year before we start going whole-hog with it.

I'm actually not sure how old the nurse's kid is--I want to say maybe 4 or 5? I'm not positive, though.

How is everyone doing? I have a new computer at work with Vista--I'm the first in my office to get it, they're using me as a guinnea pig. So far I've only found one error message, but half the internet pages I normally go to have "certificates" from "unknown" sources or something. So then IE gives me a warning message saying it doesn't recommend I go to that site. And they've limited our permissions so much that we are unable to change our security settings, which means I get that annoying message every time. Fun!

Good morning! My older son had to go back to school today, which stinks because all of the other school districts have the week off, so getting him up was not fun! We had a nice easter, my parents and grandmother and MIL came for dinner. I had Luke dressed in a nice outfit but he had a poop explosion so that didn't last long! I really didn't take any pictures! I am so mad!
Luke still has this nasal thing going on and I am pretty sure the drip is making him cough. I did start the albuterol to be safe. But he is miserable! He didn't nap till 5 pm yesterday! I had limited time yesterday to do anything I needed to do. Hopefully today will be better. He can't drink a bottle too well, because he can't breathe from his nose. But then I'd hate to hook him up for feeds with all of the progress he made.
Gotta go.....he is screaming!
