I am actually 23w2d today, exactly how far along I was when I had Travis. It is SURREAL. I can't imagine having this baby right now, and at the same time, it is absolutely amazing to know exactly what this little one looks like, and to know how perfect he/she already is. Everything has been mostly smooth. I did end up in L&D for some cramping but it was suspected that I had another UTI and that is better now. I look at every day and every week from here on our as an absolute blessing and I am praying for another long 17 weeks!
I'm 24 weeks now and doing well! I had a scare a couple of weeks ago when it looked like my cervix might be starting to shorten--IC is one of the theories about why I PPROM'd with Jim--but this week it was actually a teeny bit longer than 2 weeks ago, so it's looking like IC isn't going to be an issue. Otherwise, things are going just about as well as I could possibly have hoped! Maggie's growing right on track and is looking perfect, and I'm having all the normal pregnancy symptoms--sciatica, gas, heartburn, the occasional swollen feet--but nothing too tremendously bad. I am keeping my fingers crossed that things continue this smoothly until October!
