What was your preemie/NICU kid up to this weekend?

Chloe was being transferred from the NICU to the Level II nursery! I was so happy when they told me that she was well enough to be transferred. Hopefully we will be able to transfer her to a closer hospital soon.

That is GREAT news!!! So exciting!!! I forget, how far is the hospital from your house now?

I am 31 weeks and full-on nesting, it's like I'm doing all the nesting I didn't get to do when I was pregnant with Jim (he came early enough that I hadn't even started to nest yet). It's so weird, I honestly can't sit still for long when I'm at home. Poor DH, he's had to do a lot of heavy lifting lately with all the projects I've wanted to get done!

The hospital is about a 2 hr drive from home. The hospital we are hoping to have her transferred to is only about an hour away.
Have fun with the nesting! I am sort of nesting right now (if you can nest after you have the baby), but I haven't had time to accomplish much. I have nothing done in preparation for Chloe's homecoming. It is causing me to panic a bit. Do you have the nursery set-up yet?

I'm sure you'll have a lot more time in your day when you stop having to drive so far to the hospital!

Yep, our nursery is set up--we didn't have a single stick of furniture in Jim's room when he was born, so I wanted to make sure we started early with Maggie. It helps that she'll be sharing a room with Jim (he's actually excited about it, we'll see how he feels in about 6 months though!) so we just needed to put the crib in there and clear out a couple drawers to make room for her clothes. I did also add some wall decals by her crib, though. Now I'm working on stuff like cleaning out our freezer so there's room to store breast milk, and just trying to get things as organized as possible, since I'm sure after she's born I won't have the time/energy to do as much.
