Thanks, y'all! We are doing great, she is 9 lbs 0.7 ounces and 20 inches long, which looks INSANELY huge to this mom of a preemie! 30 minutes of pushing to get her out thanks to a long time laboring down and a nice strong epidural. And she is already nursing like a champ, something I never got to do with Jim (I exclusively pumped because he refused to nurse). The only thing that didn't go exactly to plan is that she had some meconium in her bag of waters, so the NICU team had to come down and assess her...but within 5 minutes she was on my chest and trying to latch. Honestly, it still seems surreal that this gorgeous perfect HUGE looking baby came out of me! I will post a pic just as soon as DH emails them to my iPad!
Yay!! I'm so happy for you! 9lbs is a big baby for anyone and especially since a newborn to you is 2lbs. LOL. I am anxiously awaiting the many pictures that I know are coming. Much love to you! Congratulations!!
