Whenever someone at the grocery store would ask me how old Jim was, I would have to gauge in my head whether I wanted to give his corrected age and hear, "Wow, he's so big!" or his actual age and hear, "Wow, he's so small!" Ugh. Also, I was totally obsessed with him growing because I felt like every ounce he gained was another step away from the NICU and the trauma of his birth. So hearing "he's so small" was hard for me.
