My baby was born may 17, 2013 12 weeks early. NICU is terrifying to me and nothing I have any experience with. I am doing my best to learn the terms and what not the nurses and doc use, but it feels like everything seems so seious and then the doc says it is nothing to worry over it is being watched.

I'm sorry to hear your son was born so early. My oldest was 14 weeks early. My best advice is to take a deep breath, ask the nurses your questions about what is going on with him and have them explain it simply in normal terms. The nurses usually are much better at explaining things to moms and dads than the doctors do.
The NICU is terrifying no matter if it's your first time or if you've been there multiple times. It's going to be emotional and a rollercoster. Please don't be afraid to come here and vent or ask questions. I know that some other moms still lurk here and hopefully will come answer also.
