How messed up is this. Last year I reported a man showing me his... you know in front of the library. I went in and told someone in the library, and the a guy came out with me, said since the other guy was gone there was nothing they could do but report it. Well, I'm in front of the library on campus again today and I see the same guy again! And he tries to get me to come over and see it again! Like what the heck?! He's an older man in a wheel chair, and he acts like he needs your help, but nooooo he wants to show you his STUFF! And he wants to see if you'll touch it! I mean ew! Well, he made me late to my class because I went into the library again, told a worker, and got the same reply. Well, I figured all is well so I go to class. After class I go and tell the teacher why I am late so it won't be held against me. When I tell her that its the second time it happened she takes me to her office and tells me to call campus police, and that I can meet with an officer in her room. So the officer comes and starts asking me questions and when I get to the part of telling a librarian, he calls the library asks them some questions, and then tells me NO ONE has ever reported any flasher anywhere around the library. After that the officer keeps acting like I must be lying about it, and when I finally get through to him that I'm not, he wants to know why I never called campus police about it, and I told him the librarians I talked to said they would! Why should I not trust someone who WORKS for the school to report something when they tell me not to worry about it?! And then the officer has the nerve to tell me that I shouldn't be by myself on campus anyway! I mean its his job to make sure females can be alone and safe on campus! I told him in no uncertain terms that I should NOT have to feel threatened or frightened to walk to and from my classes on my campus and that they should get a better grip of their job. Ugh.
