I'm really having a good time with my new Canon. I just wanted to share some pics I've been taking with you all. I doubt that I'll scrap most of these because they're nature shots.

Here's a pic of a sweet little baby girl that was at a cookout we attended Sunday. I could get a decently in focus pic of her because she stayed a lot more still than my Miles.

6. Butterfly I shot yesterday...I couldn't believe it just sat there and let me get so close...

I can't remember! I was trying do everything with manual settings, just to learn the camera but I may have resorted to the macro setting for one of these.

Macro settings are only available on zoom lenses (if you have one) it's not custom with the Canon Rebel. But it's tough to get crisp shots like this without using a macro. Especially the photo of the bee because you have to get so close.

I just have the rebel xti and the kit lens right now. I should be getting the 50mm1/8 lens in the mail any day now!

What am I doing wrong? Your pictures are AWESOME! I am nowhere close. Wah, and I even took a class. I'm really slow at figuring this camera out.

I'm sorry Teresa. I'm sure it will come along. Have you asked the photography board for help and CC? I've learned a lot over there.

And remember...for any good pic I get, I probably take a dozen bad ones also or maybe two dozen!
