OK so these are two adjoining pages. You've already cc'd one but I thought I would re-post it here so you could see them together to really get the feel. All and any CC is welcome. I won't want to spend over 100$ on a book and get a crappy book that I regret not getting "just" right. So all your help is greatly GREATLY! appreciated

I really like where you are going with this page but, I would take the wood frame and make it a bit bigger and have the bottom of it off of the page...so it looks like it is not floating there KWIM. I'd also make the title just a wee bit smaller.

I agree with the PP .. and also.. did you not like the floral stuff on the background of the first page? I noticed it's not there on this one..

I like it off the page as well. The only other cc I can think of is maybe doing like a cutout shadow on the title (the 2nd page) so that it looks like its more off the page.

I was told to keep shadows and such to a minimum because it doesn't look as nice when printed on paper. I'll give it a try though and print it at home and take a look. Thanks for the CC.

I'd add more shadows. Just keep them on the smaller, lighter side. To get an idea for how you like your shadows, print up a test page. I made mine as an 8x10 and did it on my photo printer at home. I printed the same element with 11 different shadows(changing size, distance, and percentage) to decide which one I liked. I have a couple of these test sheets now for different kinds of elements and its nice to be able to refer to.
