Have you noticed the stages of a child's coloring skills?
When my oldest started coloring, it was long, messy strokes, then moving to smaller pieces of the picture and now, at the age of four, she colors the entire picture in one solid color or shades of one color.
my 2nd DD is in the stage of coloring small pieces of her picture...when I try to suggest she color the grass or maybe color the whole bird instead of just the beak, she gets upset. Understandable...I reminded myself that the way she is coloring is her style and I shouldn't try to break her from her expression of that.
I'm wondering... have you ever done a page of all white with just a few things of color?
How about a page with different shades of one color? (of course besides the photo)
Anyone up to trying this? Post your pages here or in the love shack!
