I've seen these sold at a few different places. I'm not sure how they work. Can you just open up a new 12X12 file, make it whatever color you want, place the overlay on, and bam you have a beautiful solid paper?

Here's a link to what I'm talking about.

You put over paper you are working on, then adjust the overlays blending mode.. depends on the colors you are working with and the overlay.. but the ones that works best for me are Color Burn, Overlay, Soft light, & Multiply. What works for one set you are working on my not work for the next. They key is to play around with them.. adding a few different ones also gives nice effect
HTH!

Send a message via Yahoo to MommaTrish

sometimes I do different ones in similar colors and put them together as one paper.

OK thanks! I am not going to worry about that stuff quite yet - going to get more caught up with my pictures before I get kinda crazy.

I just bought a ton of overlays and paper templates from pineapple plantation designs and I love them.they work great for me when I need a solid paper in one of the kits colors or a patterned paper to go with the kit because the ones the designer included just are a bit off for what I want.
