I got a couple of the $1 kits from Funky Playground designs and made this.

I already know that I should have started it out a certain size. What size should it be for a decent print out?

Thanks to Rachel for the advice on framing. This is definitely something you learn to do by doing. Unfortunately, I do better with tutorials like the one Patti has in the subforum. It was what I needed to get started.

I tried to add a journaling page, but when I pasted in the layer it was TINY. How do I fix that?

Any other advice, criticism, and tips?

Thanks ladies!

Wow I love it! The only thing I can recommend is using a little bit of a drop shadow on the layered items like the flowers stem or frame. I don't use the same program as you so I'm no help on how to do it though.

Yes, the flower stem would have looked much better with a drop shadow.

Great job! Is there an option for making the font point size bigger? I'm really just starting out so it's kiund of the blind leading the blind here. Sometimes I just make my journaling block bigger like I would anything else until it looks right to me.

That is awesome for a first page! I think you are going to do great at this. What program are you using again?

great job!
I'd start out at 12x12 at 300 DPI, or 8x8, or 8x10..it's up to you what you want your final size to be. I print everything as 8x8 and 12x12 so I make everything as 12x12.
