Have any of you made calendars as gifts for family members? I'm thinking about doing that this year. I don't mean to sound cheap, but I don't want to spend a ton of money on it since it won't really be my primary gift to people. Should I buy something at a digital scrapbook store and make it, print it, and bind it myself? And how would I go about doing that? I love the ones that Sweet Shoppe came out with today. Or is it just as nice to make one on Snapfish or Shutterfly?

Any advice?

We're giving calendars this year all customized with that person/people's important dates. I've been taking a set up photo each month of all my kids. Only three more to go. We're getting them from Costco. They're a lot cheaper than elsewhere, but of course you have to be a member.

We don't have Costco near us, I REALLY wish we did.

I did end up ordering the 8.5 X 11 Zoe Pearn calendars, since they're on sale today. I think I'll use mypictales.com and have them bound at Copy Max. I called and it's $3 to bind. So I'll get the calendars for less than $10 each when all is said and done!

I got this calendar doodle . I haven't quite figured it out yet. But it's what I'm doing for Christmas too.

I'm also working on calendars thru Costco, not sure how much they'll cost, though.

I'm having mine printed through mypictales. I think they are $12 each, and that works for me since I have to order a bunch and ship them all stateside. I can't get them bound here so I needed them prebound.

I saw the 5x5 calendars on mypictales, reasonably priced. However, I saw a template to use for creating them. I'm confused about how one goes about printing them though. Does anyone mind taking a look?

I've done calendars as gifts before and they went over really well. I think they make great gifts myself.

I really want to but my family doesn't seem to excited about my digital scrapbooking so I'm not sure how well they'll go over. My mom seems more excited about what my sister does with paper. She's commented a few times that she's sooo good at it. maybe I'll just let her make it

I think I will make a couple for DH's side of the family though
