Anyone using their digi scrapping skills to whip up some Christmas gifts for friends or family?

I made two calendars using Zoe Pearn's 8X10 QP kit at SSD. I printed them myself, just have to go and have them bound at Copy Max (or just buy clipbaords for them I can't decide) tonight.

I also made my own photo cards this year, and I'm making my own gift tags. I've always made my own gift tags but this year they're going to look a lot nicer than they ever have with just the Microsoft clipart I've had in the past!

I plan on doing more digi gifts next year. I didn't get started soon enough for this one. Plus, I want to wait until I have pictures of Grace from all months of the year so I can have her and Austin on most pages.

Next year for my mom's birthday I plan on making a scrap book of all her holiday recipes. Soon I'm going to start hunting for cookbook type kits if any of you have some ideas.

I've never made gift tags, I have enough sticker ones for this year, but I think I'll make them for next year.

I never did get to making the calendar for my Grandma this year. I just wasn't motivated or something this last month or so...I've done VERY little scrapping

we just use the wrapping paper scraps for tags. We don't do anything fancy...I figure, the tags just get torn up with the wrapping paper and thrown away anyway ... I just can't get myself to spend a ton of time when I think of it that way.

Lizzy, when you printed your calendar at home, what kind of paper did you use? What DPI do you use? i printed Sara's birthday invites and it came out kinda fuzzy...

I printed on cardstock, just at a normal quality print. It cost me $3 per calendar to have it bound at Staples. The calendar QP kit at SSD was $5 so each calendar cost me about $6. I can reuse the calendar QP next year, which I'll probably do so they'll be even cheaper!

Snag this if you like it, Aaron - a few QP holiday recipe cards! You could get a recipe box and decorate it, or one of those metal lunch box thingies that scrapbook stores sell to decorate, or just slip the cards into a photo album (print at 4X6). I'm going to be working on a recipe album soon too - for my sister's wedding shower gift from the whole family.

I never thought about making gift tags or anything - maybe next year. We don't have color ink right now anyways.
