2 stupid questions from a newbie...

First, I'll introduce myself. I'm Monica

. I have a 13 month daughter named Emma. I just started digi scrapping about 2 weeks ago. I started with psp 7 and just got pspx2 on my computer last night. I normally hang out in the March 08 playroom but I lurk here occasionally. I'm finally getting up the nerve (and the time) to say hi!

2 questions that are probably pretty stupid...

#1. What is a one kit call and how does it work?
#2. What is a scrapping train and how does it work?

I am trying as hard as possible to do as much free as possible. So I just need to know how to get the most stuff I can that is good quality and doesn't give my computer viruses (stupid 4shared...)

2 questions that are probably pretty stupid... First of all there are NO stupid questions so ask any you may have

#1. What is a one kit call and how does it work? A one kit call is when a designer has you join her creative team to make 1-2 layouts with their kit but only for that one kit. So basically you get that kit for free and provide the designer with 1-2 layouts she can use to promote her kit. But with this you are not bound to create for every kit she makes and are not a full time part of her ct team.

#2. What is a scrapping train and how does it work? A scrapping train or blog train is when a bunch of different designers all get together to create a kit based off of one color palette and one theme. You can snag all parts of a train or only download the ones you are drawn too.

A great way to find quality items for free is to look through stores and find a designer you like. Go to their blog and check it daily. Most will offer their new kits free for 1-2days as a promotion

Different sites/designers have open calls. You just apply (or in some cases reply to the thread) and she'll look over your gallery and choose her new one kit ct member.

Be sure to start your own gallery in our stickies - it'll be a great place to send people when they want to see your work for one kit calls and such later on.
