I've looked at multiples tutes, including the one above---I'm using PSE5. How on earth do I load actions? I've downloaded them, how do I install them? Fonts were easy, but this is insane-I've spent a total of 6 hours at least trying to figure this out. Help?
Um... If I remember it wasn't that hard to do, much easier than in later versions. The directions I remember finding the most helpful were the Atomic Cupcake directions. Let me see if I can hunt them up.
I just spent another hour using that link-thank you for that btw-still won't work. The hardest part was finding where to install it, did a few searches on my c drive, got it loaded appropriately, pse was turned off, and it still won't show up under my photo effects.
Is there another way?
I just want to brighten eyes and fix lighting, do it manually?
But looking through those instructions I see an important step that's no longer showing on it. I don't know why it's not on that page (I used a set of install directions that I saved that came with the actions not their actual site.) After step 3 you need to delete the MediaDatabase.DB3. I'm trying to remember exactly where that is... if you go back to the main folder that the photo effects are in look for one that say Locale and then something like en us then look in those files until you find it. It's ok to delete it since photoshop will just re-build the file when you start it back up, just be warned, the start up will be SLOW while it's re-building. If it's still not showing, restart your computer. Still still not, make sure the action is compatible with your version of PSE.
