I thought I would get more into Halloween but we just didn't this year. We have pumpkins we haven't (and now probably won't) carved, no decorations, and I don't dress up. Ben will dress up as a monkey and we'll take him around to friends and family, but not around the neighborhood. We don't go to any parties because we don't have anyone to watch Ben! All of the usual babysitting suspects go to their own parties for Halloween!
We don't really celebrate "Halloween" per say.....
My church does a "Harvest Party" for kids, where they go and play games and get candy. They can dress up in a costume if they would like, but they are not required. I have never dressed up. We did get a pumpkin and carve it, but we got it when we went pumpkin picking, so it was more of a fall thing then a Halloween thing.
We love halloween...we put up a couple of decorations in the yard (the girls stretched "webs" over the bushes and put fake spiders in them to try and get them over a little fear of spiders), and the girls went trick-or-treating at a local assisted living home and around the neighborhood (our t-or-t was last night and the other one was friday night). I don't "dress-up" but usually wear a halloween t-shirt for the day. I am planning on dressing the girls in their costumes again today and going to see the great grandparents - my grandma is in a local nursing home and DH's grandparents live nearby too. DH's old neighborhood has T-or-T tonight, so may go see some of his old neighbors too...haven't decided yet as the girls have PLENTY of candy, but we know the people would like to see them. Oh, and the girls have done several "halloween" themed crafts (made paper jack-o-lanterns, sparkly spiderwebs, bats out of handprints, and ghost handprints)...I didn't do carved pumpkins this year though.
Since noone was going to be at our house we didn't do any decorating. John took the kids trick or treating. (usually we both would) It was Bella's first year dressing up and going, but I have no pictures except one on my phone.
I don't dress up or go to parties.
