I am normally a paper scrapbooker, but with 2 kids, homeschooling, pregnant with #3 I haven't had a lot of time to scrapbook. Not to mention, I hate, hate, HATE pulling out all the stuff and getting organized. By the time I am "ready" I have lost the mood and want to pack it all up. I have been looking at digi scrapping for a while now, but I am so lost on how to get started! I have Photoshop CS4. Dh told me that if I get into digi scrapping and actually stick with it he will let me buy PSP or something similar. How do I get started? What do I do? Thanks!

CS4 is actually a really good program! {I prefer it to PSP}

If you just want to try it out before investing in it, you can download free kits from here:

Digital Scrapbook Freebies - DigiScrapDepot.com

I make all of my pages 3600x3600 {12x12}, 300 dpi. You can always downsize later.

I suggest checking out some galleries {you can even look at pages in The Love Shack subforum} and lift a page or two to get comfortable with the program and scrapping.

I found you tube to be a good source for tutorials as well (especially if you do better with listening or seeing directions than you do with reading them). Also, you can start with templates that help you learn about sizing and such and will let you play with layouts without feeling overwhelmed. Welcome to the dark side LOL enjoy!
