...do you, um, exercise censorship over their design choices? I remember that Heather posted about this a while back, how her kids sometimes liked to do scrap together with her. Well, I've been trying to do that with Charlie lately, and he actually kind of enjoys it. The trouble is, he kind of has terrible taste! (Just sayin' -- he is only three years old, after all). He'll insist on having certain elements placed in certain places, and they end up looking sort of ridiculous. But then if I try to change the placement of them later, when he sees the layout, he'll immediately ask me why they've moved or where they've gone. I can't get anything past him! It makes me wonder -- should I let him take the lead, or use my own artistic discretion?
Thank you to the SSMC makers for my beautiful siggies!
I just let Ryan make his first page (almost) on his own this morning. I let him do whatever he wanted with it. I had the idea to let the boys scrap their summer on their own and have their own scrapbook to show off for it.
Here's Ryan's page
He used a template. You will note his awesome lack of shadows on all elements.
