Does anyone know where I can get a free military ID tags element? I'm working on a page about the first time my daughter met her daddy (he was in training with the Army when she was born) and I think that is the final touch that it needs.

I've tried making one, but I just can't get it to turn out how I like it. It's not very metallic/shiny looking. If anyone has any tips on making one, I'd take that too!

TIA!

You know, I was thinking about that..

I'll give it a try and see how it turns out.

Thanks!

I saw these - but I don't think it's exactly what you're looking for. Here's the website.

Metal Tags

It's the metal tag freebie about halfway down the page.

If that doesn't work, would this be of any help?

I downloaded a metal effect when I first got started with Digi Scrapping. It was included in a lesson I paid for...I'll try to remember where I got it incase anyone wants it. You can add your own text to it and then use Filter---->Stylize---->Emboss to give it that engraved sort of look that dog tags have. I know it isn't exactly the right shape, but I made this as a tag for a page I was working on and thought it may help if you can't find anything else. Also, you can add your own text, which is kinda neat...

If you don't want it...no biggie...If you do want it you can save it from here, or PM me with your email and I can send it to you.

Lynsan, I really like those metal tags, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

Kistal, if you could try to find that metal effect I would really appreciate it. It would be exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks!

Ok...here's the link. It was free afterall!! Scrapper's Guide Metals

All the way down at the bottom of the page you'll see a box with all the downloads. You'll want to download the top one in the PSE box that says -

Download Folder with frames,
video, and layer styles for
Photoshop Elements
Zip format, 17.93 MB

After you download it, you'll want to move the ASL file called Scrapper's Guide Metals to your Style folder in the Presets for PSE. Once you do this, it will be in the selection of Styles under the Shape Tool.

ETA: Along with the metal style, you'll get these really cool metal frames. There's also a pretty kit to download on that page. It's sort of Holiday related, but hey...it's free!!

I am going to try to make this. I don't know if I can or not but I want to try. If I can do it I will post it. I made this metal looking charm for Brandon's siggy so I think I might be able to do this. I am just not sure.
