I am sorry for my absence but it is difficult to type and mouse with my swollen fingers and hands. Kinda painful at times. However, my q's are this....

I am 39.4 wks (my 1st of course) baby has seemed not to have dropped all the way yet and I am closed up tighter than a clam. No dialation or efaced. Not sure what to do. Kinda worried. My dr scheduled a u/s and nst for next tuesday morning which then I will be 40.2 wks. I have had NO bh contractions at all, maybe one or two but thats it.

Not sure what to do. I have heard a lot about how induction has a greater risk of a csection, which I really am hoping not to have that done, I will if I need it though. I am just worried and don't know what to.

Any advise or comforting words would be helpful.

Also, CONGRATS to all the ladies who have had there little angles. Very exciting!!!

I wouldn't worry too much! Most first time moms go past their EDD! I would avoid induction if at all possible b/c you're right, you would then have a higher c-section rate. As long as baby & you are both doing well, I would just hang in there! Also, I never felt any Braxton Hicks when I was pg w/ #1, so never fear! Baby WILL come!!!!

I think this is interesting... http://www.transitiontoparenthood.com/ttp/...ncy/duedate.htm
here is another, it says add 15 days if you are Caucasian & this is your first baby... http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/duedates/a/duedates.htm

That's the right attitude! Baby will be here soon! Let me know if any of your movies are good. I've picked a few losers lately!

Still hangin in. Our apptmt on Tue. was uneventful. There was 9cm of fluid and the nst went good. Things are still looking good for us both. My bp did go up a little but it went from beign about 106/70 to 120/80. So the dr. wasn't that concerned. We have decided to go ahead with our scheduled induction on Sunday, well as of last night. We will see how we feel on Sunday. But I am pretty sure we are going to go ahead. Thanks for the "pep" talks! I appreciate yalls support.
