Hey all! I thought I'd post this to see how many of us are on (or were on) Metformin...at what doseage? and for how long?

I was unable to conceive for 13 years, prior to taking 2000 mg. of Metformin a day. One of my m/c's occurred within 48 hours of stopping Metformin...actually saw baby and heartbeat 45 minutes prior to m/c.

I took Metformin throughout my dd's and ds's pg's and plan to do so for this baby's too.

Just curious as to your experiences with Metformin.

I took it up until 12 weeks, when my OB told me to get off of it because there was "no need for it" as she said. I was pretty scared to, but I listened to her anyways. I had been reading so much about staying on it, I wanted to stay on at the time. I'm almost 23 wks now, and everything is going good.

I wasn't on Metformin, just Clomid.

I told my ob that i would be staying on it. She wanted me off of it I wanted to stay on so we compromised and I was on for the 1st and 2nd trimesters. I didn't get GD! Which is what I was hoping the met. would help me avoid and i think it did. My baby will be 3 weeks old on sunday! time flies.
