I thought I would introduce myself here. My name is Amanda (24) DH is (29). I was told when I was 18 that I had pcos. I quit taking bc last June. My cycles have been about 33 days. I have had a couple of longer cycles one which was 69 days but that was right after I quit taking bc and another that was 40 days. I started seeing an infertilty ob gyn in April since I was due for my annual pap. I thought I should start seeing her since I had pcos and knew it could be difficult for us to conceive. So right away she said I could start Clomid. We also did a SA on DH and it came back good sperm count but his morphology and motility was low so she said we may have an even harder time to conceive. Well AF never showed so I was going to wait a week longer and then start Provera. Well I decided that I better take a hpt and sure enough it said Pregnant !!!! I still can't believe it! Based on my last menstrual cycle being March 25 they thought I was 6 weeks along and I tried telling them that I couldn't be that far since I know I have longer cycles and ovulate a lot later. So they had me come in for an u/s last Monday and all they saw was a gestational sac that measured about 4 weeks. The u/s tech said that if I was only 4 weeks along that everything is looking good. I was hoping to see a yolk sac or fetal pole but I know that it's to early. So then my Dr. had me get my hcg levels checked and it came back 3,477 and then I went in last Wednesday and had it rechecked and it came back 8,000 !!! Also they told me that my progestrone levels were normal. I still sometimes find it hard to believe. I go back for another u/s next wednesday so hopefully I see a lot more this time around. I think then it will put my mind at ease cuz I sometimes find this all hard to believe that Dh and I actually conceived on our own with me having pcos and did it under a year!!!

It's so nice to hear that some people can overcome the limitations and have a successful conception. Welcome to the board and to pregnancy!

We tried for a year before we had a success but now that we're here, we're doing great so far!

Wow congrats!! Hi I'm Stephanie (24) married to Mark (23) and we're expecting our first baby, a girl on 08/08/2009. Was only on Metformin when it happened for us, yay! Nice to meet you!

Congrats! It took us 13 cycles and 50mg of Clomid for two cycles to get our BFP. You're so lucky! That stuff can make you cranky!
