We had our NT ultrasound today - I was nervous as always but baby looked perfect - NT was well within normal, Nasal bone, heart, brain, everything was normal and our little peep looks perfect! S/he was bouncing all over the place and even doing little flips - definitely an active little guy like his/her big brother
I had pre-eclampsia (starting at 22/23 wks) with my son and had to see a maternal fetal specialist for a big chunk of my pregnancy - I loved my high risk doctors and they were the ones who do the NT so it was nice to sit down and talk with them again. They put me back on baby aspirin and we went over some things regarding an elevated (but still within normal) 24 hour urine catch and my on and off Pos ANA - my doctor gave me the name of another doctor I need to start seeing about that after I have the baby. Nothing to worry about now, but something we need to keep an eye on. We also talked about met but thats another post for another day.
At the end of the ultrasound we asked, even though at 13 wks, 2 days its still early, if we could peek between the legs and maybe guess. We did but the sonographer said not to go making any plans based on what we see obviously. As soon as she scanned between the legs DH and I both made our “guess” - clear as day we knew - we had seen it before!! A tiny little scrotum and penis
. The sonographer agreed. She said she isn’t going to give a percentage as to what she thinks but said that she would be
very surprised if it wasn’t a boy. I will hit the floor if it isn’t because what we saw looked JUST like caden did . But, just in case I don’t want to get too attached to the idea of this being a boy so I won’t be calling him him yet - and I’m still going to think of girl stuff, but I’ll definitely be focusing on the boy. We’re so excited and I’m hoping we’re right
The fact that it looked exactly like Caden’s ultrasound though and even DH said “boy“ as soon as we saw it.... Hard to think it could be anything else.
We did get a pic!! The possible penis looks HUGE in the pic though, almost not real lol - it was not that big on the ultrasound screen so I’m thinking its just the angle when she froze the pic and that the maybe scrotum isn’t showing as round as it was, making the possible penis look bigger. I guess we’ll know for sure in another month or so!

sometimes they can get pretty swollen in there... I've seen some crazy in utero pics of girls so swollen I would swear it was a boy! But that pic DOES look pretty clear! Hope the weeks fly by til it's confirmed one way or the other!- I'd be going crazy wondering!
