Ok so I have PCOS and at this moment in time I am NOT trying to concive. However I was wondering how all of you found it getting pregnant? Did many of you have trouble?. I know my doctor told me I was more than likely to have problems and I gues I have accepted that for now.

It took 13 cycles to get our BFP. The last two were with the assistance of Clomid. Any attempts to TTC in the future will include going straight to Clomid.

I didn't have trouble at all. I was on the BCP and Metformin for a long time. I got married on Sept 28th 2008 and I stopped taking the BCP starting in OCT after I got that period. I was just on Metformin 500mg twice a day, and got pregnant mid NOV. so about a month! I never could get those ovulation things to work, the things that tell you when you're ovulating. I never got a positive from those, but I must've ovulated sometime in there because I'm 36 weeks preggo now lol.

I was married in 1990. Back then they didn't have Metformin. I went through 13 years of infertility and crazy cycles (when I had them) before I finally got on Metformin. It took 4-5 weeks on 2000 mg of Metformin daily before my cycles were completely straightened out. I conceived within 2-3 months after, but sadly lost that little one.

I have some other issues besides pcos that I didn't find out about until 2007, so I have had 5 m/c's between doctor error and blood clotting condition.

I now have 3 beautiful children, this side of Heaven.

Once I got straightened out on met, it didn't take long at all. I went 7 months without a period at all, started met (1000mg/day), had a period 15 days later then didn't have one for another 4 months (I upped my dosage to 1500mg/day). I had a 40 days cycle, had my period again and started using OPKs with luck. We got pregnant that cycle and things have been healthy so far.

We were ttc 9 months, but 4 of those were without assistance/before my PCOS diagnosis. I was on Met 5 months and my 2nd clomid cycle (50mg) when I got my BFP.
