Had My Anatomy Scan Yesterday

So the scan went great. Baby was measuring right on track and everything was functioning perfectly. The only problem they found was with the umbilical cord. It should have 3 vessels and instead it only had 2. This could cause the baby to grow undeveloped but the doctor doesn't think there will be an issue since everything measures perfectly right now and all organs are on track. I'll have to have more u/s's to monitor the baby's growth from now on though. I'm sure if the baby hasn't slowed in growing by now then everything will be fine. I did some research on it and of course freaked on all the bad stuff (Trisomy 18 could be a cause) but found a lot of reassuring info that this is more common than people think and most babies turn out just fine. Plus my quad screening came back normal so no high markers there.

Awww, YAY Jen, I'm so happy for you!!!!!!!!!! Yet another batter for Team Pink on the PCOS board!! Those...what, two? boys are going to get slaughtered!! I really hope the next little princess after this is MINE!!

And she is sooooo going to have your DH wrapped around her little finger in no time flat! Nothing like a good daddy and his little girl!

I hope the cord thing turns out to be a non-issue, KUP!! You'll be in my T&Ps!
