Well this week has just been a whirlwind! So the day before we found out we were pregnant, my grandfather passed away (really makes you think about the whole circle of life) so we've been debating on who to tell and when. But we told all of our parents and siblings, and then last night after the calling hours my whole family went out to dinner and DH REALLY wanted to tell everyone because we were all together and it just seemed like a good time (my dad was begging me to tell too!!) so we did! I originally wanted to wait until after the first ultrasound, but it just seemed appropriate last night, so it was very spur-of-the-moment, but I think it was the right time. So now the cat's out of the bag! I'm definitely going to wait until after the ultrasound to tell anyone at work, but it's a relief knowing everyone knows because we don't have to try to hide anything

Oh wow, I'm so sorry about your grandfather. Everybody must be full of so many mixed emotions right now. How did they take the news? You all definitely needed something good right now.

That's what everyone said - they were all very happy that I told earlier than we expected too. It really just felt right. I think it helped everyone feel more uplifted!

Congrats on your BFP!! I waited until after my u/s before I shared at work too, but couldn't keep it from the family until then. That would have been too hard & I had no control over it. I wanted to shout it to anyone who'd listen.
